Ex. It’s about time you took responsibility.
ในที่สุดก็ถึงเวลาที่คุณต้องรับผิดชอบสักที (คือไม่เคยรับผิดชอบอะไรเลย)

Out of the blue ทันทีทันใด, จู่ๆก็เกิด
Ex. I have serious diarrhea, out of the blue.
จู่ๆฉันก็ท้องเสียอย่างรุนแรงแบบไม่มีปี่ไม่มีขลุ่ย
Give someone a hand ช่วยเหลือ
Ex. Can you give me a hand putting away these toys?
คุณช่วยฉันเก็บของเล่นเหล่านี้หน่อยได้ไหม
Rings a bell คุ้นๆหูเคยได้ยินหรือเคยรู้จัก

Pull someone’s leg อำ, พูดโกหกในเชิงล้อเล่น
Ex. Don’t ask me to believe it. Stop pulling my leg.
อย่าขอให้ฉันเชื่อมันเลยหยุดพูดเล่นได้แล้ว
Read between the lines การตีความสิ่งที่ผู้เขียนอาจจะไม่ได้เขียนออกมาตรงๆ
Ex. Reading between the lines, I think he loves you.
ดูจากสิ่งที่เขาทำแล้วฉันคิดว่าเขาชอบเธอนะ
Sooner or later ไม่ช้าก็เร็วในที่สุด
Ex. You’re going to fall in love with me sooner or later.
คุณจะต้องตกหลุมรักฉันไม่ช้าก็เร็ว
Sick and tired เบื่อระอา
Ex. I am getting sick and tired of Korean food.

Ex. He didn’t pay for me, so we ended up going dutch on the first date.
เขาไม่ได้จ่ายเงินให้ฉันเราจึงลงท้ายด้วยการจ่ายคนละครึ่งในวัน
