ENG : Kian Un Keng Shrine (建安宮), also known as Guan Yin Shrine, is an ancient Chinese shrine located on the west bank of the Chao Praya River. It is told that it was built during the reign of King Taksin the Great by Hoklo people (Chinese people from Fujian province). It is one of the oldest Chinese shrines in Thonburi District. At first, There were two shrines located separately, then they were demolished when they became decadent. The restorer rebuilt the new shrine as one and place a statue of Guan Yin (the goddess of mercy) as the principal god of the shrine. Unlike other Guanyin statue, The statue here is a sitting statue, while others are standing.

The reason this shrine became famous is its tranquillity atmosphere. There is no necromancy nor any kind of consecrate rituals as other Chinese shrines. There are also many stuccoworks which indicate a prominent style of Hoklo Shrine. The murals here are based on a classic Chinese literary masterpiece, "Romance of Three Kingdoms"
