Collection of Information

Information You Provide to Us

We collect information you provide directly to us. For example, you share information directly with us when you create an account, post content through Blockdit, communicate with us via third-party platforms, request customer support, or otherwise communicate with us. The types of personal information we may collect include your name, display name, username, bio, email address, phone number, birthday, gender, business information, your profile image, photos, posts, comments, video, audio, and series published by you, and any other information you choose to provide.

We do not collect payment information through Blockdit. We rely on third parties to process payments in connection with Blockdit. Any information you provide to facilitate such a payment is subject to the third-party payment processor’s privacy policy, and we encourage you to review this policy before you provide any information to the payment processor.

Information We Collect Automatically When You Interact with Us

In some instances, we automatically collect certain information, including:

Activity Information: We collect information about your activity on Blockdit, such as your reading history and when you share posts, follow accounts, and listen to podcasts.

Device and Usage Information: We collect information about how you access Blockdit, including data about the device and network you use, such as your hardware model, operating system version, IP address, browser type, and app version. We also collect information about your activity on Blockdit, such as access times, pages viewed, and posts clicked.

Information Collected by Cookies and Similar Tracking Technologies: We use tracking technologies, such as cookies and web beacons, to collect information about you. Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive or in device memory that help us improve Blockdit and your experience, see which areas and features of Blockdit are popular, and count visits. Web beacons (also known as “pixel tags” or “clear GIFs”) are electronic images that we use on Blockdit to help deliver cookies, count visits, and understand usage. We also work with third party analytics providers who use cookies, web beacons, device identifiers, and other technologies to collect information about your use of Blockdit, including your IP address, web browser, mobile network information, pages viewed, time spent on pages or in mobile apps, and posts clicked. This information may be used by Blockdit to analyze and track data, determine the popularity of certain content, deliver content targeted to your interests on Blockdit, and better understand your online activity.

Information We Collect from Other Sources

We obtain information from third-party sources. For example, we may collect information about you from social networks, accounting services providers and data analytics providers. Additionally, if you create or log into your Blockdit account through a third-party platform (such as Apple, Facebook, or Google), we will have access to certain information from that platform, such as your name and profile picture, in accordance with the authorization procedures determined by such platform.

Information We Derive

We may derive information or draw inferences about you based on the information we collect. For example, we may make inferences about suggested pages based on your following pages.

Use of Information

We use the information we have to create a personalized product that is unique and relevant to you.
We use the information we have to develop, test, and improve Blockdit.
We use the information we have to verify accounts and activity, combat harmful conduct, detect and prevent spam and other bad experiences, maintain the integrity of Blockdit and promote safety and security on Blockdit.
We use the information we have to enforce our Terms of Service and other usage policies.

Shares of Information

We share personal information in the following circumstances or as otherwise described in this policy:

We share personal information with other users of Blockdit. For example, if you use Blockdit to publish content, post comments or send private messages, certain information about you will be visible to others, such as your name, photo, bio, other account information you may provide, and information about your activities on Blockdit (e.g., your followers and followings, posts, reactions, comments, and messages).
We share personal information with vendors, service providers, and consultants that need access to personal information in order to perform services for us, such as companies that assist us with web hosting, storage, and other infrastructure, analytics, payment processing, fraud prevention and security, customer service, communications, and marketing.
We may disclose personal information if we believe that disclosure is in accordance with, or required by, any applicable law or legal process, including lawful requests by public authorities to meet national security or law enforcement requirements. If we are going to disclose your personal information in response to legal processes, we will give you notice so you can challenge it (for example by seeking court intervention), unless we are prohibited by law or believe doing so may endanger others or cause illegal conduct. We will object to legal requests for information about users of Blockdit that we believe are improper.
We may share personal information if we believe that your actions are inconsistent with our user agreements or policies, if we believe that you have violated the law, or if we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, property, and safety of Blockdit, our users, the public, or others.
We share personal information with our lawyers and other professional advisors where necessary to obtain advice or otherwise protect and manage our business interests.
We may share personal information in connection with, or during negotiations concerning, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company.
Personal information is shared between and among Blockdit and our current and future parents, affiliates, and subsidiaries and other companies under common control and ownership.
We share personal information with your consent or at your direction.
We also share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

Management of Information

We store data until it is no longer necessary to provide our services or until your account is deleted - whichever comes first. This is a case-by-case determination that depends on things such as the nature of the data, why it is collected and processed, and relevant legal or operational retention needs. For example, when you search for something on Blockdit, you can access and delete that query from within your search history at any time, but the log of that search is deleted after three months.

Your rights regarding Personal Data

You have rights regarding your Personal Data processed by us, such as the right to access your Personal Data and the right to correct your Personal Data, to the extent permitted under Applicable Laws.

We are exerting efforts to provide, in our Services, features which enable you to personally edit your profile, and set and manage the collection, use and sharing of your Personal Data.

To the extent permitted under Applicable Laws, regarding your Personal Data that we process, you have the right to access, the right to rectification, the right to erasure, the right to restriction of processing, the right to withdrawal of your consent, the right to data portability, the right to confirm if we process any Personal Data of yours, and the right to request a review of any automated decisions that may be made as a result of the processing.

In addition, to the extent permitted under Applicable Laws, you also have the right to object to the processing of your Personal Data that we process in certain cases.

If you wish to exercise your right against us to disclose your Personal Data that cannot be confirmed in our Services, correct or delete your Personal Data that is contrary to facts, notify you of the purpose of use of your Personal Data, or other rights permitted under Applicable Laws, you may contact us using the Email to app@blockdit.com.

After verification of your identity, we will respond to your request within a reasonable period of time, and in accordance with relevant laws. If you would like to send us a written request, please refer to our mailing address indicated later.

If, however, permitted under Applicable Laws, we may not be able to respond to your request when any of the following applies:

Disclosure is likely to harm the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of yours or another individual;
Disclosure is likely to seriously impede the proper execution of our business;
Disclosure violates other laws and regulations;
When you failed to verify your identity upon your disclosure request; or
We are otherwise permitted under Applicable Laws to refuse your request.

If you no longer wish to use our Services or if you withdraw your consent to Blockdit’s processing of your Personal Data which is necessary for us to provide our Services, you may choose to delete your entire Account. However, the withdrawal of your consent will not in any way affect the lawfulness of our processing of your Personal Data based on your consent that was given before the foregoing withdrawal

Unless prohibited under Applicable Laws, if you exercise any of your rights hereunder, we may charge a fee, in accordance with the procedures defined separately.

Blockdit Policy

Blockdit welcomes all content from people with different areas of expertise. However, posts as following are not allowed to be on Blockdit Feed.

Blockdit Reference Content

Content must not imply a Blockdit endorsement or partnership of any kind, or an endorsement by any other Blockdit company.
Content should not represent Blockdit.
Landing pages must not use our copyrights, trademarks, or any confusingly similar marks.

Adult Content

Posts must not contain adult content. This includes nudity or activities that are overly suggestive or sexually provocative.

Dangerous or Derogatory Content

The following content are not allowed:

Content that threatens or advocates for physical or mental harm on oneself or others
Content that harasses, intimidates, or bullies an individual or group of individuals
Content that incites hatred against, promotes discrimination of, or disparages an individual or group on the basis of their race or ethnic origin, religion, age, nationality, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic condition
Content that incites political conflicts by disinformation
Content that promotes terrorism and seeks alliances
Content that promotes the sale or use of weapons, ammunition, or explosives. This includes Posts for weapon modification accessories and use of weapons to harm an individual or group of individuals

Posts must not promote or support the sale or use of illegal, prescription, or recreational drugs.

Posts must not promote or support the sale of alcoholic drinks and over drinking.

Posts must not promote or support the sale or use of cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes and any products from a component part of a tobacco.

Posts must not promote or support the sale of any animals.

Lotteries Content

Posts must not promote or support the sale of lotteries run by non-government entities.

Gambling and Games Content

Posts must not promote online and offline real-money gambling and coin-based games that offer prizes or rewards in return.

Medication, Supplements and Beauty Products Content

Posts must not promote the sale or use of medicines and supplements required a doctor's prescription. This includes unsafe herbs, non-FDA approved products and beauty products such as some weight loss pills and whitening creams.

Multilevel Marketing Content

Posts must not promote or support quick compensation for little investment, including multilevel marketing and persuasion to join a network marketing company or event.

Posts must not promote or support amulets, talismans, superstition and black magic including the sale of these products and services.

Posts must not promote products or services that enable a user to gain unauthorized access to systems, devices, or property.

Clickbait and Offers Content

Posts must not promote offers or incentives to get engagements and interactions from users.

Misleading or False Content

Posts must not promote misleading content, false news or claims without credible evidence to deceive about products and services.

Offensive and Sensational Content

Posts must not contain shocking, disrespectful or excessively violent content.

Financial Products and Services Content

Posts must not promote financial products and services that are frequently associated with misleading or deceptive promotional practices.

The following content are not allowed:

Promoting credit card applications, or financial services with unauthorized institutions
Partially providing important information and conditions about products and services
Directly request the input of a person’s financial information, including credit card information

Forgery and Forging Services Content

Posts may not promote or support forgery products and services such as fake passport, academic papers, and official documents. This includes an exam cheating services.

Copyrighted Content

Posts must not contain copyrighted content, images, trademarks or personal rights and ownerships by reproduction, adaptation and communication to the public.

Illegal Products or Services Content

Posts must not facilitate or promote illegal products, services or activities that threaten lives and properties.

Should you see any inappropriate posts that are noncompliant with Blockdit Policy, please report by clicking on the button on the upper right of the post.

Blockdit community value User’s safety and privacy the most.

Blockdit has no friend system. User is all independent.
Followers are unknown to other users except for those who are followed.
Posts that User reacts to are unknown to others except for the owner of that post.
People and Page Owner can ban People, Page Owner or Page from engaging with the posts.
On the Explore tab, User can hide posts from People or Page one doesn’t want to see.
You can add new credit cards or remove existing credit cards within Blockdit.

Response to Legal Requests

We access, preserve and share your information with regulators, law enforcements or others:

In response to a legal request (e.g. search warrant, court order or subpoena) if we have a good-faith belief that the law requires us to do so.
When we have a good-faith belief that it is necessary to: detect, prevent and address fraud, unauthorized use of Blockdit, breaches of our Terms or Policies, or other harmful or illegal activity; to protect ourselves (including our rights, property and product), you or others, including as part of investigations or regulatory enquiries.

Information we receive about you can be accessed and preserved for an extended period when it is the subject of a legal request or obligation, governmental investigation or investigations of possible violation of our Terms or Policies, or otherwise to prevent harm. We also retain information from accounts disabled for term breaches for at least a year to prevent repeat abuse or other term breaches.
