1) ตอนผมบวช ช่วงประมาณหกโมงเย็นจะมีพิธีทำวัดเย็น แต่ช่วงบ่ายสามบ่ายสี่ พระในวัดจะร่วมกันออกมากวาดลานวัด เก็บกวาดใบไม้ที่ร่วงหล่น
การอยู่ในวัดทำให้ผมเห็นสัจธรรมว่า ใบไม้ไม่ได้ร่วงหล่นตอนบ่ายสามบ่ายสี่ หากแต่ว่ามันร่วงหล่นอยู่ตลอดเวลา! เฉกเช่นเดียวกันกับความตายที่เกิดกับทุกชีวิต
ดังนั้นความตายเป็นเรื่องเล็กเพราะมันเป็นเงื่อนไขทางธรรมชาติที่มีอยู่แล้ว เราทุกคนเดินทางเข้าหาความตายทุกลมหายใจเข้าออก ทุกๆครั้งที่เข็มวินาทีกระดิก! คำถามคือ ก่อนจะถึงลมหายใจสุดท้าย เราทำอะไรไว้?
