"Lake Hillier" or "pink lake" This was discovered in Australia. The lake is quite small. It is only 600 meters long and 250 meters wide. The lake is surrounded by eucalyptus trees.
The reason for this pink lake. Still a topic that scientists have not yet reached a clear conclusion. But most suspect it is associated with the presence of small algae, Dunaliella salina, which is a pigment found in carrots. But the existence of halophilic bacteria and salt shells may be another explanation. The reaction between salt and sodium bicarbonate found in water may also cause pinkness.
