บทความที่ 9: Happy Thanksgiving 2020
Officially, I am being hired by one assisted living facility. Currently, this is going to be my main day job while I keep the music as my great hobby. After the long training hours, I asked the activity planner as if I could entertain the residents before the dinner. She said yes!
My dream came true faster than I thought. I was at the piano playing 3 songs. Firstly, I began with my jazzy quick swing tempo tone (just to warm them up). Next, one of the elders requested any songs from Frank Sinatra, so I ended up with 'Fly Me To The Moon.' Lastly, the caregiver and LVN asked as if I could play any Christmas tunes. Then, I finished this impromptu show with 'Joy To The World.' They all sang along.
This is the power of music, the miracle of engagement.
I am sharing a real feel-good-story against all odds from Civid19 lockdown, the quarantine period during Thanksgiving 2020.
