Episode 1: The kind, sweet demon - เจ้าปิศาจผู้เมตตาและแสนดี (จริงอ่ะ?)
👹😊A few days ago, I came across an article about ‘The 35th-KM-Demon’ of a marathon run which it will gently tell all the marathon runners, especially the new comers, to stop, rest and finally give up. Credit to: Thai run ฮับความสุขนักวิ่ง).
👹😊This demon normally is masquerading with a smiley face, very friendly, welcoming and understanding. It will tell the marathon runners (with soothing voice) to stop by complimenting, praise them that they have done a fantastic job. You are tired. Perhaps, complete it next time. Hence, stop running. ✋ 🏃♂️
👹😊Personally, I (as an amateur runner who has been practising half-marathon only) often find my demon when I finished my 5th km and, it will reappear to tell me to stop, again at 10th km.
👹😊It will tell me (with its gentle and calm voice) that it is time to stop running. Just 5 km (10 km) is ok; it’s great. Thus, time to go back and do something else or time to go home, have a hot bath 🛀 and eat some delicious food. 🍱 Yeah?
👹😊I strongly believe that we all have this little kind, sweet demon in all of us. They dwell within us, in our mind. Your demon is different from mine but they work in the same way; they try to stop us from doing good things for ourselves.
