EP 084 : What difference between will and shall ?🧐

Happy Friday 🎈😀 Do you guys have any plans this weekend?
Are you confused when we can use "will / shall"?🧐 That's my today's topic, let's begin.
🌟Will and Shall are basically modal verb(กริยาช่วย) and have to follow by main verb (กริยาแท้)
ex : I will join Jen's party. (join คือกริยาแท้)
We shall start meeting. (start คือกริยาแท้)
🌟Will--- can be used with all subjects such as I, You, We, She, He, They, It
🌟Shall--- is normally used with I and We
🌟How to use -- will, -- shall in our daily life ?
1. to explain the future ใช้พูดถึงเรื่องที่จะเกิดขึ้นในอนาคต
🎈 Will : it can be used for future plan.
: it can be used in general speaking.
🎈 Shall : it can be used for future plan and more formal.
ex : I shall go to school = I will go to school.
In this sentence, the first one when we use shall tend to more formal and we normally use the second sentence (will) in general speaking.
ex : We shall overcome this difficult situation.
ตัวอย่างนี้จะดูเป็นทางการกว่าตัวอย่างด้านบน ดังนั้นใช้ shall จะดูเหมาะกว่าใช้ will
2. to make a prediction ใช้ในการคาดการณ์/ทำนายเรื่องที่จะเกิดขึ้น
🎈Will --- โดยทั่วไปเราจะใช้ will เพื่อบอกถึงเรื่องที่เราคาดการณ์เอาไว้
ex : I think I will work here until I retire
🎈Shall --- ไม่นิยมใช้ในประโยคลักษณะนี้
3. to make a decision at the moment of speaking ใช้กับประโยคการตัดสินใจ ณ ขณะนั้น
🎈Will ---
ex : I will have 6 fried chicken and water,please. ประโยคนี้ใช้ในการสั่งอาหารค่ะคือจะกินไก่ทอด 6ชิ้นแล้วก็น้ำเปล่าขวดนึงค่ะ
ex : (the phone rings☎️), I will answer it ประโยคนี้คือเวลาเราได้ยินเสียงโทรศัพท์ดัง เราอาจพูดกับคนที่เราอยู่ด้วยขณะนั้นว่า "ฉันจะรับสายเองจ้ะ"
🎈 Shall --- ไม่นิยมใช้ในประโยคลักษณะนี้
4. to make a request ใช้ในประโยคขอร้อง
🎈Will ---
ex : Will you bring your laptop by tmr?
🎈Shall --- ไม่นิยมใช้ในประโยคลักษณะนี้
5. to make promises and offers ใช้ในการให้สัญญาหรือเสนอตัวว่าจะทำอะไร(บางอย่าง)ให้ใคร
🎈 Will ---
ex : I will keep you posted soon when I get the info.
ex : I will call you back when I get home.
🎈 Shall ---
ex : I shall not be late
ex : I shall never forget for what you've done for me.
🌟 Shall ในที่นี้จะดูทางการมากกว่า will อาจใช้ในกรณีที่เราอยากพูด/เขียนอะไรที่ดูเป็นทางการนะคะ ถ้าจะพูดกับเพื่อนหรือทั่วไปใช้ will ดีกว่าค่ะ
6. to explain a conditional phrase ใช้ในประโยคที่มีเงื่อนไข (ถ้า..... จะ....)
🎈 Will ---
ex : If I pass this exam, my mom will buy me a car.
🎈 Shall --- ไม่นิยมใช้ในประโยคลักษณะนี้
7. to make suggestions ใช้ในการเสนอความเห็นอะไรบางอย่าง
🎈 Will --- ไม่นิยมใช้ในประโยคลักษณะนี้
🎈Shall --- มักใช้คู่กับประธาน I หรือ We นะคะ
ex : Shall we start meeting ?
ex : What shall we do after finished class ?
ex : Shall I invite Tom to our party ?
🌟Shall ในประโยคแบบข้อ 7 นี้จะให้ความหมายเหมือน "should" ที่หมายถึง "ควรจะ" มากกว่า
8. to explain formal obligations ใช้ในการทำเอกสารสัญญา เอกสารทางกฎหมาย หรืออื่นๆที่เป็นเอกสารทางการ
🎈Will --- ไม่นิยมใช้ในประโยคลักษณะนี้
🎈Shall ---
ex : Guests shall not remove anything from the rooms.
