“อย่าลืมตัว”
อย่าไปโอหัง อวดดี อวดฉลาด
อวดมั่ง อวดมี อวดร่ำ อวดรวย อวดสวย อวดงาม
อย่าไปอวดไปอ้าง ทุกสิ่งทุกอย่าง
อยู่ในกฎอนิจจังทั้งหมด
จะกระโดดโลดเต้นขนาดไหนก็เถอะ
ผลที่สุดก็เอาเข้าหีบเข้าโลง เอาไปเผาไฟทิ้งทั้งหมด
ร่างกายสังขารของมวลมนุษย์ชาติ ไม่ว่าระดับไหน
มันเป็นอย่างนั้นจริงๆนะ เอาความจริงมาพูดนะ
ลูกหลานนะ ศรัทธาญาติโยมนะ
ถ้าไม่พูดซะเลยมันก็จะหลงโลก หลงทาง
หลงเจ้าของไปอีก ข้านี่มี ข้านี่รวย
ข้านี่สวย ข้านี่งาม ข้าไม่เกรงกลัวใคร
กิเลสมันจะอวดอ้างอย่างนั้นไปอีก
ถึงจะขนาดไหนก็เถอะนะ
ทุกคนน่ะตาย ไม่มีใครเกินใครหรอก
เดินตามหลังกันไปในจุดนั้น
อันนี้เหมือนกันกับลิง มันดื้อ มันคึก มันคะนองใช่ไหม
กระโดดโลดเต้น เจ้าของเขาถือแส้มา
ตีกับพื้นเพี๊ยะ! ลิงนี้สยบ
อันนี้ก็ลักษณะอย่างนั้นนะลูกหลานนะ
ถ้าเราคึกคะนองไปโอหัง มังคะโร ไปไม่รู้จักอะไร
พอตายนะ สยบทันทีเลย ทุกคนนะ
ไม่มีใครที่จะหลีกหนีพ้นไปได้นะ
พวกเราต้องคิดไว้นะ เรามีคุณงามความดี
ในจิตในใจเพียงพอหรือยัง
เราได้เป็นพระอรหันต์หรือยัง
หรือเราเกาะบันไดของพระอริยะเจ้า ได้หรือยัง
คือพระโสดาบัน บันไดขั้นแรกนะ
เราได้เป็นพระโสดาบันหรือยัง
ถ้าได้เป็นพระโสดาบัน
เออ มา ไม่เกิน ๗ ชาติสำเร็จ เป็นพระอรหันต์
ถ้ายังเป็นปุถุชนอยู่ อย่านะ
อย่าไปผยองพองตัวนะ
ไม่รู้จะตกไปทางไหนก็ไม่ทราบล่ะ
ชาตินี้อาจจะเป็นผู้เป็นคน
เกิดมาชาติหน้าอาจจะเป็นหมาก็ได้
เพราะฉะนั้นให้พวกเราท่านทั้งหลาย
อย่าไปคิดผยองพองตัว อย่าไปลืมเจ้าของ
อย่าไปหลงเจ้าของ เกิดมาภพนี้เป็นมนุษย์ก็จริงอยู่
แต่เราทำเลวนั่นน่ะ ความเลวนั่นน่ะ
จะพาตนเองตกต่ำในอนาคตในภพหน้าชาติหน้า
เพราะฉะนั้นให้พวกเราได้เตรียมพร้อมไว้อยู่เสมอ
อย่าตั้งอยู่ในความประมาทสรุปแล้วนะ

Episode 90 : Loaded
We should not be haughty nor arrogant.
We should not take pride and brag of our fame,
wealth, or our physical attractiveness.
Everything in this world is under the law
of impermanence (aniccā in Pali).
You can have all the roller coaster of a life you want,
but when your time comes, all are reduced to ashes.
It does not matter who you are,
where you are from or
what social status you are in.
This harsh truth is inevitable.
It happens to all of us.
I’m stating the fact to all everyone here
because if I do not, one might still be lost in
the illusions of impermanency.
One might think he or she is incredibly rich
or physically appealing to the extent
of feeling invincible.
Kilesa(defilements) can really lure and trick us that far.
Do not forget that we will all eventually die.
This is inescapable. Nevertheless,
it seems that many of us
have forgotten this ultimate truth.
Many of us have become like an arrogant monkey,
always boasting and bragging with pride.
But remember, all those things are
meaningless the moment we perish.
What we should be really focusing on
is the cultivation of good deeds.
Have we accumulated or
conducted enough good deeds?
Have we reached Arhant*?
(*Arhant, Pali: in Buddhism refers to
one who has gained insight into the true nature
of existence and achieved nirvana)
Or are we following the path of venerable Buddhist saints**?
(**Buddhist saints in Buddhism refer to
Buddhist monks who are fully enlightened
and are renowned for their holiness and compassion.)
If so, then Sotapanna*** is our first step.
(***Sotapanna, Pali: this term refers to one
who has reached the first of the four levels
of awakening in Buddhism that will ultimately
lead him or her to full liberation.)
Have we achieved our very first step yet?
If we have, then we shall be not reincarnated
beyond 7 lives. However, if we have not,
and we are still just a mere mortal,
we should not brag nor fill our heart
with pride and ego,
for we do not know what awaits us in our next life.
We may be a human in this life,
but we may be born as a dog in the next.
Therefore, we shall not be haughty nor arrogant.
Do not forget who we are nor be
too proud of ourselves.
We may be humans in this life,
but if we conduct bad deeds,
those bad deeds are going to
drag us down in the future,
this life of the next.
We shall always be prepared
and make sure that we do not dwell in heedlessness.
