Film Essay - Sound of the Soul - Exhibition
"ความหลากหลาย" ที่ว่านี้ หลายๆ ครั้งถูกมองเป็น "ความแตกต่าง" ที่พ่วงด้วยสารพัดคำถาม ไม่ว่าจะเป็น เขาเป็นใคร มาจากไหน อาศัยอยู่ที่ไหน และหลายๆ ครั้งก็มาพร้อมความรู้สึก "ห่างไกล" ไม่คุ้นชิน ไม่วางใจ เกิดเป็นเส้นแบ่งระหว่าง "เขา" กับ "เรา"
BACC ร่วมกับกลุ่มศิลปิน Hear&Found ศุภชัย เกศการุณกุล และ DuckUnit นำเสนอนิทรรศการเสียงจากกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ Sound of the Soul ที่ว่าด้วยสำเนียง เสียง และเรื่องราวทางวัฒนธรรมของกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ในประเทศไทยที่ไม่ค่อยถูกได้ยิน

This so called ethnic diversity is often viewed as differences which are followed by questions of who these people are, where they are from, and where they live. This frequently makes us feel distant, unfamiliar, and distrustful, and in turn creates a line of otherness that divides 'them' from 'us.'
Bangkok Art and Culture Centre together with Hear & Found, Supachai Ketkaroonkul, and DuckUnit present Sound of the Soul, a sound art exhibition that explores dialects, sounds, and cultural stories of marginalised ethnic groups in Thailand.
