On March 21, the country commemorates the victims of the Sharpeville massacre of 1961, when 91 protesters were killed by the police at an anti-apartheid gathering.
🗣"As we commemorate Human Rights Day this year, we are reminded that the legacy of our struggle is not just one of remembrance but one of action.
Across the country, young people continue to step forward to shape the future of our democracy," Deputy President Shipokosa Paulus Mashatile said on the occasion.
