Pyongyang has launched combat tests of its new multi-mission destroyer Choe Hyon, including supersonic/strategic cruise missiles, anti-aircraft systems, and ship-based artillery, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported.
Kim Jong-un personally oversaw the tests on April 28–29, calling the destroyer’s firepower system “very wonderful” and stressing the need for offensive naval capabilities and nuclear armament of the navy.
