Phantom of the Opera : Episode 6.5 — The Graveyard of Memories
The night was shrouded in mist, and the cemetery lay silent under the pale glow of the moon.
Christine, wrapped in sorrow, walked slowly among the gravestones until she found the one she sought—her father’s resting place. She knelt beside it, folding her hands in prayer, her heart heavy with longing.
Her father had once told her of the Angel of Music—a spirit who would guide her voice and protect her when he was gone. In the depths of her despair and confusion, Christine now clung to that memory, her whispered prayers mingling with the night air.
But she was not alone.
From the shadows beyond the lamplight, a figure emerged. His black cloak merged with the fog, and the mask upon his face gleamed faintly in the darkness. The Phantom.
He had followed her here, to the one place where her heart was most vulnerable. Watching her grief, his own soul ached with both love and envy. In Christine’s devotion to her father, he saw the devotion he longed for—yet could never truly claim.
Christine lifted her eyes, sensing his presence. Fear and sorrow entwined within her, yet she did not flee. For in that moment, she realized that the Phantom was bound to her not only by obsession, but also by the same solitude that haunted her heart.
The night wind carried silence between them, broken only by the faint echo of the Phantom’s voice—
“Christine… you are mine. The Angel your father promised has come.”
And there, in the graveyard, between the memory of the past and the shadow of the present, Christine felt her destiny tighten its hold, leading her deeper into the tragedy that awaited.
