KMITL Joins Startup x Innovation Thailand Expo 2025

Bangkok, Thailand – July 5, 2025 – King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) participated in the Startup x Innovation Thailand Expo 2025 (SITE 2025), organized by the National Innovation Agency (Public Organization) or NIA, at Paragon Hall, 5th Floor, Siam Paragon.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siridej Boonsang, faculty member of the Faculty of Engineering and committee member of the Artificial Intelligence Association of Thailand, together with Mr. Teerawat Thongloi, engineer at the Public–Private Joint Research Center, Faculty of Integrative Innovation Technology, served as guest speakers in the seminar “Quantum Leap – Disruptive Potential of Quantum AI.”
Assoc. Prof. Siridej highlighted,
Quantum AI may one day solve complex problems that classical AI cannot handle. Inspired by the Quantum Neural Network, which mirrors the structure of Artificial Neural Networks but applies quantum principles, Quantum AI holds the potential to tackle challenges beyond the reach of traditional AI. Although it currently requires longer training times, its capabilities will grow as problems become more complex.
The seminar explored quantum fundamentals, including superposition—the ability of atoms to exist in multiple states simultaneously—and entanglement, where atoms interact across vast distances. These principles enable Quantum Algorithms, capable of processing massive data sets with unprecedented speed.
Real-world applications were also discussed, such as Volkswagen’s Quantum Algorithm for traffic optimization, Quantum Teleportation for ultra-secure communications, and the development of a future Quantum Internet. The emergence of Quantum AI, inspired by Quantum Neural Networks, promises to extend AI’s problem-solving capacity beyond current limits.
