ครั้งนี้เราจะเดินทางไปยังหัวใจของญี่ปุ่น … กรุงโตเกียว เมืองหลวงที่เต็มไปด้วยเสน่ห์หลากหลาย ทั้งความทันสมัยและประวัติศาสตร์ที่สืบทอดกันมายาวนาน
รู้หรือไม่คะว่าเดิมทีเมืองนี้มีชื่อว่า เอโดะ (Edo)? 🌸
ในสมัยศตวรรษที่ 17 โชกุนโทกุงาวะได้เลือกที่นี่เป็นศูนย์กลางอำนาจการปกครอง ทำให้เอโดะเติบโตจนกลายเป็นเมืองใหญ่ที่มีวัด ศาลเจ้า และตลาดคึกคัก ต่อมาในปี ค.ศ. 1868 เมื่อจักรพรรดิเมจิย้ายราชสำนักมาจากเกียวโต เมืองนี้จึงได้ชื่อใหม่ว่า โตเกียว ซึ่งแปลว่า “เมืองหลวงทางตะวันออก” และนับแต่นั้นมา โตเกียวก็เป็นหัวใจของญี่ปุ่นทั้งทางการเมือง เศรษฐกิจ และวัฒนธรรม
ทุกวันนี้ โตเกียวคือเมืองที่ไม่เคยหลับใหล 🏙️ แสงไฟระยิบระยับของตึกระฟ้าและป้ายโฆษณานีออนสะท้อนความทันสมัย แต่ถ้าเพื่อน ๆ ก้าวออกไปเพียงไม่กี่ก้าว ก็จะเจอโลกอีกใบที่เต็มไปด้วยกลิ่นอายดั้งเดิม ไม่ว่าจะเป็น วัดอาซากุสะ (เซนโซจิ) อันเก่าแก่, สวนอุเอโนะ ที่ซากุระผลิบาน หรือย่านเก่าอย่าง ยานากะ ที่เงียบสงบ

Later, in 1868, Emperor Meiji moved the imperial court here from Kyoto, renaming the city Tokyo, which means “Eastern Capital.” From that moment on, Tokyo became the center of Japan’s politics, economy, and culture.
