: Marc Márquez is rewriting MotoGP history. After enduring years of pain and setbacks since his 2020 Jerez crash, the nine-time World Champion returned stronger than ever, conquering another title with Ducati.
“If not for that crash, he would’ve won another world title. He was far superior to the others,” said Lorenzo. “Honda lost its way without him — Marc was the only one who could really understand that bike.”
Lorenzo also pointed out how Márquez transformed his career after leaving Honda.
“From his superiority this year over Bagnaia, we understand that last year he was performing miracles with the GP23.”
🔴 As for his current dominance, Lorenzo believes Bagnaia didn’t expect such a gap.
“Bagnaia has the same bike, yet he can’t come close to Marc. He’s not just a step ahead — for me, he’s two steps ahead of everyone.”
And when it comes to pure talent and speed, Lorenzo is clear:
“If we look at talent and speed alone, Marc Márquez is the strongest, fastest rider in history.”
