In September, Principle Law and Advisory had the honour of contributing to Lawzana’s publication on “Thailand Legal Market in 2025: Current Data and Trends Report.”“Thailand Legal Market in 2025:
Current Data and Trends Report.”
Our article titled “The Impact of Legal Technology and AI” emphasizes how Thailand’s legal field is rapidly evolving through the adoption and use of legal technology and artificial intelligence (AI). More and more, these tools are increasingly used to enhance operational efficiency, improve accuracy and elevate service standards across the industry.
The article also discusses the milestone in the Thai AI legal framework as the Thai government launched a public hearing on the AI legislation back in May 2025, following the pioneering legal framework by the EU.
Nonetheless, certain gaps are yet to be addressed in such legislation. Legal professionals in Thailand still face the challenge of using AI in their work without concrete professional standards or ethical frameworks to guide them. The article further highlights the need to establish clear boundaries for responsible AI usage, strengthen the technological competencies of legal practitioners as well as develop professional guidelines that promote transparency, accountability and client protection.
