> Professor Marandi, you are in Thran. Exactly what is the situation on the ground?
How big, how widespread is the protest or are the protests? And how about the casualties? We're seeing different numbers coming out of the international media. Some put it above 500. How credible are they?
>> "The situation is very much under control, the terror attacks and the rioters they killed roughly 100 police officers which is extraordinary and that has outraged people across the country and they've also killed many innocent people.
A lot of them people have been killed with stones that they threw or with gunfire coming from within crowds. They want to have people die in order to create further unrest.
But there's so much evidence against them now and people have seen what they've done that today huge huge protests across the country against the rioters have taken place and in support of the Islamic Republic of Iran."
> How much support is there among the Iranian people towards the Islamic Republic?
>> "I think if your viewers look at the footage from different cities, they'll see that the support for the Islamic Republic is massive.
That doesn't mean that people are satisfied
with their standard of living or that they're happy with the current administration or that they have no grievances, that's another issue.
But they support the Islamic Republic of Iran and they oppose Western intervention and terrorism and riots supported by Western intelligence agencies.
We saw the former head of the CIA tweet that Mossad agents are among the protesters and riers.
And we saw that the Mossad itself gave out a Persian statement saying that they are on the ground with the riers. So this has angered ordinary Iranians People should not believe Western media. They are hostile towards everyone that doesn't support their leaders and their regimes.
All your viewers have to do is look at the footage from Tehran and from other cities across Iran. This is a nationwide protest against the the terrorists."
> What is your comment to the threats by the United States president towards Iran?
>> "Iranian leaders have already warned Trump that any attack on Iran would lead to devastating consequences for the United States across the region. And the Americans know this. So it would be wise for Trump to back away from threatening Iran."
> And what kind of role have Western social media platforms played in the incident so far?
>> "social media is working for the CIA and Mossad and it's very clear first of all those who are against Western terrorism and Western intervention many of them have lost their accounts but I've been removed from all social media accounts except for X.
And on X I'm heavily shadowbanned on the other hand there are armies thoughts and armies of people who are working on the internet against Iran. So the best way to gauge whether Iran has popular support is to look at the images coming out from Tehran.
Press TV is live streaming and I'm sure many other channels are also showing the reality on the ground in Tehran"
> With a refreshing perspective that was esteemed professor Sed Muhammad Morandi Professor of English literature and orientalism from the University of Tehran. He was joining us on the line from the capital of Iran.
