But as the market began to realize

that the war showed no signs of ending anytime soon,

oil prices started to accept the reality

and began trading at levels not seen in many years.

At this level of oil prices,

every business will be affected differently.

Those hit the hardest are businesses that rely heavily on oil as a core operating cost, such as airlines and transportation companies.

If these businesses cannot pass the higher costs on to customers, that’s when it becomes a true Black Swan.

And if oil prices remain at these levels for a prolonged period, higher inflation and rising interest rates will become almost inevitable.
