Central Food Retail Launches “HARUKI,” Its First Standalone Japanese Homemade Bakery, Expanding into Thailand's Fast-Growing Food-to-Go Market
Central Food Retail, under Central Retail Corporation, has officially unveiled HARUKI, its first standalone Japanese homemade bakery brand, marking a major expansion into Thailand's rapidly growing Food-to-Go segment.
Inspired by changing consumer lifestyles and the global trends of Snackification and Meal Blur, HARUKI introduces the concept of "Affordable Japanese Homemade Bakery," offering freshly baked Japanese-style bread and pastries at accessible prices starting from just 30 baht. The first flagship store will officially open at Central Northville on 3 July 2026.
The new concept responds to growing consumer demand for convenient, high-quality grab-and-go meals as bakery products increasingly replace traditional meals for busy urban lifestyles.
Designed around the philosophy of "Baked the Japanese Way," HARUKI features an Open Kitchen concept where customers can experience fresh baking throughout the day. The bakery offers more than 100 bakery selections alongside over 20 Japanese-inspired beverages, creating a complete everyday bakery experience.
Signature highlights include:
• Haru Miso Pan, featuring HARUKI's signature Miso Butter recipe delivering rich Japanese umami flavors.
• Japanese-Inspired Bakery Collection, crafted using authentic Japanese baking techniques and carefully selected ingredients.

Central Food Retail plans to expand HARUKI to more than 20 locations nationwide by 2030, targeting lifestyle malls, community malls, and office districts.
