Canon Rolls Out “Care for Mom’s Memories,” Combining Camera Care with Mother’s Day Marketing
Canon Marketing (Thailand) has launched its “Canon Care for Mom’s Memories” campaign, combining Mother’s Day storytelling with after-sales service by inviting customers to bring their cameras, lenses and accessories in for inspection and repair benefits through August 31, 2026.
A key feature is a complimentary 17-point camera inspection covering autofocus, shutter speed, metering, shutter count, white balance, color performance, basic photo and video recording, controls, external components, lens rings, connection points and microphones.
The service also includes sensor and exterior cleaning as well as firmware updates.
How do the repair discounts work?
Eligible customers receive the standard 40% discount on repair costs covering parts and labor, together with an additional labor discount based on the qualifying payment amount:
• THB 5,000–14,999: additional 10%
• THB 15,000–24,999: additional 15%
• THB 25,000–34,999: additional 20%
• THB 35,000 and above: additional 30%
The additional discount applies specifically to labor charges after the standard discount has been deducted and should therefore not be interpreted as a 70% discount on the total repair bill.
Customers must submit at least two eligible items to open a paired repair order and confirm the repair within the campaign period. Other terms and conditions apply.
The campaign runs through August 31, 2026, at Canon Service Center, Sathorn Square Office Tower in Bangkok.

Canon’s campaign highlights an important dimension of competition in the camera business: the customer relationship does not end when the camera is sold.
As consumers often keep cameras and lenses for several years, after-sales support, maintenance and service-center experiences can play an increasingly important role in strengthening long-term relationships between brands and existing customers.
By connecting camera maintenance with Mother’s Day and the idea of preserving family memories, Canon is combining emotional marketing with after-sales service rather than relying solely on a conventional price promotion.
For consumers, however, campaign conditions remain important. Eligibility requirements, the minimum number of submitted items and the way additional labor discounts are calculated should be reviewed before committing to a repair
In an imaging market where competition goes beyond specifications and pricing, after-sales service is increasingly seen as a key differentiator that can help brands stand out and build long-term customer loyalty.
