🌱 Can Rice Fields and Rubber Plantations Become Part of the Digital Economy?
What if the environmental value generated by rice fields, rubber plantations and forests could one day be connected to green finance through blockchain?
That is the idea CPP and Token X are exploring through Green Tokenization.
The study covers carbon-credit projects involving rubber plantations, forestry and rice fields using Alternate Wetting and Drying practices.
Blockchain could potentially connect environmental projects, verified data, measurable outcomes and financing while improving transparency and traceability.
Preliminary assessments suggest rice fields could reduce or sequester around 0.5 tonnes of carbon per rai, while rubber plantations could sequester around 2.4–8 tonnes per rai.
The vision also extends beyond Carbon Credits toward ecosystem restoration and potentially Biodiversity Credits.
If successfully developed, such mechanisms could create new ways to channel Green Capital into environmental projects while providing alternative economic opportunities for farmers.
However, this remains a feasibility study. CPP and Token X have not issued or offered any Digital Token at this stage.
