iCAUR Enters Thailand with V27 REEV — A Sub-THB 1 Million Boxy SUV with Up to 1,000 km Combined Range
Thailand's new-energy vehicle market is becoming more diverse, with REEV technology increasingly joining BEVs and plug-in hybrids as another option for consumers.
iCAUR, a new-energy vehicle brand under Chery Group, has now officially entered Thailand with its first model, the V27 REEV.
Its introductory pricing starts at THB 999,900, while the vehicle offers up to 165 km of electric-only driving under NEDC and a combined petrol-and-electric range of up to 1,000 km.
Unlike a conventional hybrid, the V27 primarily uses electric motors to drive the wheels, while its combustion engine serves as a generator to supply electricity to the system.
Three variants are available: the 2WD PRIDE at THB 999,900 after the launch discount, the 2WD PRIME at THB 1,159,900 and the flagship 4WD PRESTIGE at THB 1,259,900.
The flagship model produces approximately 455 hp from its dual-motor setup and features intelligent all-wheel drive, multiple terrain modes and 19 ADAS functions.
However, the bigger business story may be what happens after the launch.
iCAUR plans to establish more than 25 showrooms and service centres in Thailand by the end of 2026, achieve more than 95% spare-parts availability in October and begin local assembly in 2027.
For a newly launched automotive brand, those after-sales and localisation plans could prove just as important as price, design and driving range in determining its position in Thailand's increasingly competitive new-energy vehicle market.
