From Research to Business: Chula Demo Day 2026 Showcases 10 Startups Turning University Innovation into Market Opportunities Universities generate a vast amount of research every year. The bigger question is how much of that knowledge can move beyond laboratories and academic publications into real-world applications.
That is the gap Chula Demo Day 2026 aims to address.
Through CU Innovation Hub, the first CU-i Accelerate Cohort features 10 startups covering DeepTech, ClimateTech, HealthTech, BeautyTech, FoodTech, AgriTech, EdTech, AdTech and SaaS.
Rather than treating Demo Day simply as a pitching competition, the program supports teams across the entire commercialization journey -from intellectual property and co-founder matching to business development, investor readiness and market access.
A notable example is M.O.Y., which has developed a platform for delivering active ingredients into the skin. The venture holds 13 patents and is currently pursuing a technology licensing opportunity with a South Korean company.
The bigger story, however, goes beyond the 10 startups.
It is about whether Thailand can build a stronger pipeline from Research → Innovation → Business → Economic Impact.
By bringing researchers, entrepreneurs, investors and industry experts into the same ecosystem, Chula Demo Day represents an effort to close the long-standing gap between academic innovation and the marketplace.
With CU-i Accelerate Cohort 2 expected in early 2027, the program could become another important mechanism for developing research-driven startups and new engines of growth for Thailand.
