The general-attorney says Thaksin charged with royal defamation

The spokesman of the Office of General-Attorney made a statement based on 2 leaked documents concerning whether or not he would get special parole and be indicted for royal defamation.
Today (6 Feb 2024) there was a statement from the spokesman from the Office of General-Attorney (OAG) about the Thaksin case at 11 p.m., after there were 2 leaked documents concerning Thaksin’s charges.
The first document was about the General-Attorney and the cyber police, revealing the progress of the Thaksin case on the royal defamation article 112 charge and the computer-related crime act B.E. 2550 (2007) charge.
The second document was sent from a deputy commander of the Technology Crime Suppression Division to inform the criminal procedure, referring to document number 01/2560, on September 25, 2023, requesting facts and the progress of Thaksin charges.
Coinciding with the previous report from the Department of Corrections (DoC), Thaksin was on a special parole list due to his age and his health. The official list was presumably released on 18 February.
However, considering Thaksin’s timeline, he must receive one-third of his prison time before he meets the criteria for parole.
