NANA JI K-Chips: A Vibrant Potato Chips Packaging Design Collection
A conceptual FMCG packaging project exploring bold colours, flavor differentiation and a consistent visual identity across four potato chip variants.
Packaging plays an important role in creating the first impression of a food product. For this conceptual project, I explored a vibrant and contemporary packaging direction for NANA JI K-Chips, a potato chips range featuring four flavours: Classic Salted, Cream ’n’ Onion, Mast Masala and Tangy Tomato.
The objective was to create a packaging system where every flavor feels distinctive while still belonging to the same brand family. Each variant therefore follows a flavor-specific color palette and supporting visual language, while maintaining common brand elements across the range.
Classic Salted
The Classic Salted variant uses a bright yellow and orange color combination to communicate the familiar and simple character of salted potato chips. Potato chip imagery and salt-related visuals reinforce the flavor proposition.
Cream 'n' Onion
The Cream 'n' Onion pack moves into a green color palette, supported by creamy and fresh ingredient visuals. Onion, herbs and creamy elements help establish a fresh and flavorful visual identity.
Mast Masala
The Mast Masala variant uses blue with vibrant spice accents to create a bold flavor presentation. Chilli, masala and seasoning visuals add energy to the composition while complementing the overall K-Chips identity.
Tangy Tomato
The Tangy Tomato variant uses red tones with tomato and chilli imagery to visually communicate its tangy and spicy character. The strong colour contrast helps differentiate this flavour within the range.
Across all four packs, the focus was on maintaining a consistent brand architecture while giving each flavour its own personality. Bold typography, product imagery, colour coding and dynamic graphic elements work together to create a cohesive FMCG packaging family.
This project demonstrates how a single packaging system can be adapted across multiple flavors without losing brand consistency. The final presentation showcases the four NANA JI K-Chips variants as a unified product collection designed for a contemporary snack category.
