"Subterranean ants" this is delicious food form countryside.
I saw this one last night. It's Subterranean ants which is the name of a type of ant. Having scientific name is "Carebara sp. 1 of AMK" which it will be to the queen of the next nest .

Usually, Female sudterranean ants have a nature darkred and large. Often caught for food. But not wiht male sudterranean ants due it's small size. Making it less popular for consumption.
โดยทั่วไปแล้ว แมลงมันตัวเมียจะมีสีแดงเข้มและตัวใหญ่ มักถูกจับมาเพื่อเป็นอาหาร แต่ไม่ใช่กับแมลงมันตัวผู้ เนื่องจากมันมีขนาดเล็ก ทำให้มันไม่เป็นที่นิยมนำมาบริโภค

It's local food form north thailand which is favorites food of many people at there. They bring cooked by frying and add salt. However, it very rarely founded due it's food follow season. In one year, the sudterranean ants only comes out of its nest in May, which is the rainy season.

Due, it often life at ground that the flood didn't reach there, also likes hard soil and tends to stay near the root. sometimes i think it same to termites.

last night, I came across their nest. Because not be careful so I got bumps from worker ants. which it made me ltchy a lot until now still itching. However, when compared to the deliciousness is still forgivable.
