The size of our planet is approximately 85% that of Earth. In this way, our gravity is also approximately 85% of the gravity of Earth. The distance of our planet from our central star or what you call our sun, which in our ancient language was called Sha, is approximately 120 million miles. Our sun is slightly hotter than the Earth sun, with a very subtle green hue to it.
The overall effect of the color of our sun from the surface of our planet is that it appears to be yellowish green. Because 120 million miles is approximately 27 million miles further than the distance of the Earth to your sun, ourtime to revolve around our central star, our year, is approximately 454 days. The period of rotation of our planet upon its axis is almost the same as that of Earth, although it is closer to 25 hours than the 24-hour day of your Earth.
I will discuss our planet in more detail in the coming chapters. Let me describe to you the basic structure and configuration of our solar system. While there are things you will recognize as similarities as compared to your own solar system, there are some interesting differences as well.
