Cafe Lom: The Hidden Cafe That Isn’t a Secret Anymore!
Should we call Cafe Lom a hidden gem? We don’t think so. Oh yes, this coffee shop is hiding behind a tall living fence where you’d never imagine what lies behind the Rain Tree office building. However, Bangkok’s coffee hoppers are experts at finding places to sip their favourite drinks, bringing their cameras along to strike a pose and tick it off their bucket list.
And that’s a stroke of good fortune. Cafe Lom is a must-visit coffee shop on Rama 9 Road. The price range is reasonable compared to the city's average coffee prices, which usually start at 100 THB. We snagged a cup of iced cappuccino for just 80 THB.
The air-conditioned indoor area is a little limited. We recommend visiting in the morning instead of the more bustling afternoon, when crowds arrive to kick back and enjoy the vibe. The experience is incredibly refreshing, as you won't find many similar garden spots in the Huay Kwang area (with the exception of Tamjai Cafe, though that’s more of a tea and dining spot).
There’s a parking lot available in front of the Rain Tree, but taking the MRT to Thailand Cultural Centre Station and grabbing a motorcycle taxi is much more convenient!
